Romy Brömme has been working as a research associate and PhD candidate at the IWM in the Multimodal Interaction Lab since march 2014. She investigates how multi-touch interfaces can be designed to support learning. Her research focuses on the influence of hand-stimulus proximity (Hand Proximity Effect) on cognitive processing, as well as the impact of alternative forms of text presentation (e.g., Rapid Serial Visual Presentation) on reading comprehension when using mobile devices.
