Ulrika Ferner's dissertation project

Doctoral student Ulrika Ferner from the Multimodal Interaction lab is focusing her dissertation project on the use of virtual reality (VR) in museums. Her innovative approach was recently featured in an article on schule-mal-digital.de.

Learning encounters with wasps in virtual worlds

The project focuses on two VR applications that enable users to experience wasps in a new, immersive way. The aim is not only to capture the insects visually, but also to interactively explore and learn about their diversity.

Biologist Ulrika Ferner shares the initial findings of her study on teaching insect diversity on schule-mal- digital.de. These results form the basis for further research into the educational potential of VR applications in learning contexts. The full article is available at schule-mal-digital.de.
